An earthy yet elegant Côte de Nuits red Burgundy with raspberry and floral notes, offering great value.
100% destemmed grapes were aged in old French oak barrels for 16 months. No fining or filtration
This offering an excellent representation of the red burgundies of the Côte de Nuits region. Earthy but elegant, great raspberry with floral notes. It's also a pretty good value.
As is typically the case with Millandes there is more volume and power to the medium-bodied flavors that possess excellent mid-palate concentration while delivering fine length on the tautly muscular, intense and well-balanced finale. This firmly structured effort doesn't have the refinement of the Clos des Ormes but overall it is the more complete wine.
The 2014 Marchand-Tawse Morey-Saint-Denis Les Millandes Premier Cru is bright and lovely. TASTING NOTES: This wine is all about elegance. Its style aromas and flavors of red fruit and flowers stay active and fresh on the palate. Pair it with lightly-seasoned grilled lamb chops.
