A decadent Russian River Valley Pinot Noir brimming with ripe black cherry, floral aromatics, and baking spice.
Aged 10 months in French oak barrels (20-35% new)
Founded by three childhood friends alongside consulting winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown, Senses produces some of the most exciting boutique wines in Sonoma. MCM88 is a decadent, opulent Russian River Valley Pinot Noir brimming with chocolate-covered cherries, wild blueberries, lilac perfumes, and warm clove. It is richly textured and velvety on the palate, finishing with remarkable fragrance.
Medium to deep ruby-purple in color, the 2022 MCM88 Pinot Noir rolls out of the glass with expressive notes of chocolate covered cherries, wild blueberries, and camphor, plus fragrant underlying hints of lilacs, cloves, and cardamom. The medium to full-bodied palate delivers concentrated black and blue fruit layers with loads of floral accents and a velvety texture, finishing long and fragrant.
This deeply colored Pinot leans toward the powerful side. The nose gives bright black cherry, forest floor and black tea aromas, while the decadent palate offers cherry-plum flavors that swirl in a kaleidoscope with tangerine acidity, cinnamon and clove through a minute-plus finish. Patience will be rewarded here.
