An elegant Eola-Amity Hills single-vineyard Pinot Noir
Fermented 50% whole cluster and aged 17 months on the lees in French oak barrels (17% new)
Wow! This is a special Oregon Pinot Noir you will not soon forget. The 2022 Paul Gerrie offers concentrated notes of black cherry, subtle spice, and a distinctive mineral undertone. Focused, structured, and beautifully expressive, it boasts silky tannins and a long, captivating finish. A benchmark Oregon Pinot Noir. Absolutely amazing!
The 2022 Pinot Noir Paul Gerrie Vineyard offers more lifted, savory, and deep aromatics, with an almost Nebbiolo-like structure, with an angular feel to its notes of black raspberries, wild earth, and alpine forest herbs. It has angular bright acidity, as well as lots of tension and linear drive, a stony, salty, mouthwatering feel, coiled tannins, and a clean, savory finish. It needs time to unwind.
A total knockout wine the 2022 Cristom ‘Paul Gerrie Vineyard’ Pinot Noir was given 50% whole cluster fermentation and was stored in only 17% new French oak before bottling. This wine comes from the northern end at the Cristom Estate that was fist planted back in 2014. The nose is alluring with beautiful violets, menthol, wild blackberry and suggestions of cardamom. The palate is plush and soft wit ha refiled texture. Strangely this powerful wine is the most evolved of the single vineyards. A total stunner, enjoy over the next twenty years.
