Sustainably farmed and hand harvested grapes from vines at least 40 years old are fermented in neutral oak barrels for up to 5 months, then aged on the lees for 11 months with one racking before a light bentonite fining and then bottling
Notes from critics
This is another beautiful wine introduced to us by the great folks at Aline Wines. You will rarely find a California Chardonnay on our website. There are some great ones to be sure, but when you do find one here, it will because it measures up to the standard the French have set in Burgundy for centuries, and we feel that this Grand Cru from Chablis is a great example of that high bar. Full bodied, soft fruit, floral, just a luxurious white wine experience. First class!

The 2018 Chablis Grand Cru Blanchots is a powerful, broad-shouldered wine, bursting with notes of honeysuckle, yellow orchard fruit, almond paste and white flowers. On the palate, it's full-bodied, broad and ample, with a layered core, impressive purity and precision despite its unmistakable volume, and an intensely saline finish.

This is a very plush and attractively open style with a wealth of ripe peaches and creamed mangoes. Super smooth and seamless. Early drinking for sure, but will also go a decade in the cellar.
