The 2022 Ramey RRV Chardonnay showcases rich floral and stone fruit flavors, maintaining the high quality of its acclaimed predecessors.
Grapes are pressed and fermented whole cluster, with alcoholic and malolactic fermentation taking place in barrel. The wine is then aged sur lie (on the lees) for 12 months in French oak (10% new) for 12 months
The 2022 Ramey RRV Chardonnay is absent of critic ratings to date, yet it's consistently rated in the mid 90s for the last decade, with the 2021 landing on the Wine Spectator 2023 Top 100. The 2022 does not veer from the quality and grace of those vintages preceding it. Rich floral and stone fruit flavors and aromas highlight this beautiful wine. Fantastic!
Both agile and relaxed, this well balanced, vibrant and concentrated wine carries layers of crisp apple, pastry crust and lemon curd on snappy acidity that complements a fairly rich texture and medium body. Its creamy-tangy finish lingers a long time.
This powerful version offers mouthwatering lemon curd, lime blossom and mandarin orange flavors that show notes of fresh-grated ginger and lemon verbena. Sea salt minerality gains momentum on the finish, where grace notes of toasted green tea, citrus zest and white pepper linger.
