A deliciously complex Stags Leap District gem.
Aged for 18 months in 100% new French oak
We were members of the Chimney Rock Wine Club for years before starting this venture, and had to share our love for their wines here through a growing portfolio. This 2013 Ganymede offers a refined tapestry of black cherry, subtle spice, and cocoa, framed by velvety tannins. Powerful yet elegant, it is a testament to the vineyard's rich heritage. Delicious!
The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Ganymede Vineyard comes across a tightly wound, with less of the pure charm it showed from barrel. Still, there are plenty of Stags Leap signatures in the glass. Intensely perfumed and crystalline, the 2013 Ganymede is a striking Cabernet to drink over the next two decades or so. the finely-sculpted sytle is hugely appealing.
As for the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Ganymede Vineyard, this wine was aged 18 months in 100% new French oak. It shows crème de cassis fruit, floral notes, blackberry and black cherries. The wine is dark, rich, medium to full-bodied, ripe and pure. This is a beauty that needs 2-3 years of cellaring and should keep well for up to two decades.
