A fragrant and structured La Morra Barolo framed by fresh violet, tart cherry, licorice, and refined tannins.
Aged 24 months in French oak barriques (20% new), followed by 12 months of aging in bottle before release
Fratelli Revello captures the classic elegance of La Morra, where the calcareous clay soils yield Barolos of enchanting perfume and refined finesse. This 2021 bottling greets you with intoxicating aromas of dried rose, tart red cherry, pomegranate, and licorice, supported by delicate cedar spice. The palate is taut yet graceful, framed by tightly knit, velvety tannins that promise fantastic drinking now with food or long-term cellaring.
A precise, layered, very floral wine with aromas of fresh violets, pomegranates, red cherries and a lot of licorice. Bracing acidity, a full body, elegant velvety tannins, a tight-knit structure and a long, defined, savory aftertaste. Almost drinkable now due to its elegance, but best in two or three years.
Pouring a medium red color, the 2021 Barolo displays a notable oak-influenced profile, with aromas of crushed strawberries, cherries, cedar, vanilla, and nutmeg. Medium-bodied, it has refreshing acidity and refined definition, finishing with good length and hints of tangerine citrus. Charming already, it should drink well over the coming decade.
