Muga's top wine is a big, tannic blend rich in ripe dark fruit, coffee, cocoa, herbs, and baking spices, best enjoyed now with decanting or aged for further improvement.
Aged for 36 months in French and American oak casks, then aged in bottle for an additional 3 years before release
Muga has a fairly large portfolio, but we only carry this one - their best! Big and tannic with loads of ripe dark fruit, coffee, cocoa, herbs, and baking spices. This one will be better in a few years, but delicious now with a little decanting.
This dark-ruby wine offers a bouquet of ripe cherry and baking spices. Notes of clove and nutmeg transition to the palate alongside flavors of blackberry, cassis, chocolate-covered espresso bean, eucalyptus and violet. Luxurious tannins amble towards a lengthy finish.
The blackberry, flower and dark chocolate aromas are very impressive. It's medium- to full-bodied with fine and linear tannins that run the length of the wine. Racy and polished. Silky and enticing texture. All here. Very drinkable but will be even better years ahead.
