A unique and refreshing and aromatic rosé from Tempranillo grapes
Grapes from a single vineyard (Cougar Crest) are macerated for 6 hours on the skins prior to pressing, then vinified in stainless steel.
This is a very small production wine (only 47 cases produced) from a small producer out of Portland, Oregon. We got to spend a little time with the husband and wife team (winemaker Christian Chandler and his wife, co-owner, Kim Silva) and you could feel their love and passion for wine. And in this wine, you can taste it. Here's a rosé with a little more body than your typical lighter Grenache or Pinot Noir versions, but it's just as a refreshing on a warm summer day. Great nose is complemented by bright fruit flavors and a soft mouthfeel.
Pink nectarines, dried orange peel and a hint of dried hibiscus on the nose. Medium-bodied, crunchy and vivid with a delicate and smooth texture.
