Hand harvested grapes and then only the best bunches made it into the wine. Alcoholic fermentation was done in small tanks to maximize color. This wine underwent malolactic fermentation and was aged for 25 months in new French oak before aging for another 22 months in the bottle

This is one of our favorite wines in the world at any price. Tempranillo can really go with just about anything and this offering will please any crowd for any occasion. Indeed, we hosted a blind tasting of 13 wines in roughly the $50 - $150 price range and this one came out as the definitive number 1. Tempranillo was the 3rd most planted grape in the world. It is most famous coming from the Rioja region of Spain, where this offering comes from. Even with its high tannin, It is often an easy drinking wine, depending on the winemaker.
