Bellavista Franciacorta Extra Brut is a dry, traditional method sparkling wine with bright citrus and toasty notes, offering a creamy mouthfeel and a long finish.
Franciacorta vintage riserva wines are only produced in the best harvest years, have a minimum of 85% of the grapes coming from that harvest, and must age for at least 60 months on its lees.
Franciacorta is the most well respected traditional method sparkling wine from Italy. This is NOT that prosecco you'll want to add to your mimosa. This is Italy's answer to French Champagne and this offering from Bellavista is an excellent example. The extra brut means that there is very little sugar so you're going to get a very dry wine in its purest form, and it delivers. Bright citrus and toasty notes hit both nose and palate where you'll get a bit of a creamy mouthfeel and a long delightful finish.
Bright straw yellow with light gold and persistent mousse. The nose is fragrant and inviting with notes of buttered pastries, honeycomb, candied citrus zest and fine salty iodine tones, even white truffle and cream and subtle bourbon vanilla on the aftertaste. The palate is fine and clear, spans precisely over the palate, with magnificent precision, rounded mousse and salty display, long finish.
