Vibrant red fruit, earthy undertones, and a silky texture create a captivating and elegant Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley.
Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels (35% new), then racked once into stainless steel for an additional 3 months before bottling
What a beautiful Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. It's elegant and refined. It's light but carries some depth and character. It's a well put together sophisticated top tier Oregon Pinot Noir.
Named after the Blue Moon that they had on August 30th, 2023, the 2023 Pinot Noir Blue is a bright ruby hue and shines in this vintage, with a medium-bodied frame. It’s light on its feet and has notes of fruit punch, but it also has fantastic structure, with well-defined tannins and bright acidity. I love that it has such a joyful nature but also real structure, harkening to elegant Nebbiolo in terms of its texture, with a refined and earth-noted finish.
“...The palate is lifted and radiant, balancing purity of fruit with quiet depth and savory nuance. Fine, powdery tannins and a spine of lively acidity give it shape and precision, while whispers of tea leaf, fennel seed, and red clay add sophistication as it lingers....Highly recommended.”
