Aged in 500L French oak tonneaux until 2016. This limited addition Sibi et Paucis was aged an additional 6 years in bottle in Luciano Sandrone's private cellar
Notes from critics
Sandrone is one Barolo's top tier producers and we're excited to finally add one of their wines to our inventory. We are more excited to be able to add this special production. The Sibi et Paucis represents a small select portion of the 2012 production from the famous Cannubi vineyard that sits in the bottle for an additional 6 years before release. This is truly a fantastic wine that will continue to evolve for another couple of decades. A real cellar gem.

Brilliant, bright ruby with a fine garnet sheen. An impressive and dense nose, showing notes of plum, pomegranate, raspberry, plus some leather and truffle. Round and supple in the attack and course, with great balance - initially fine fruit, then firm tannin develops before the very long finish.

Shows firm tannins and pretty structure for the vintage. Tight and precise with super polished tannins and a lovely center palate of ripe fruit and earthy undertones. Very, very refined. Classy.
