Tenuta Viglione champions the historic, limestone-rich soils of Gioia del Colle, crafting Primitivo with unmatched balance and character. Sourced from old bush vines planted in 1937, this Riserva delivers generous layers of ripe dark berry fruit, sweet Mediterranean herbs, wild mint, and orange peel. Smooth and enveloping on the palate, it wraps rich fruit in warm, savory spice through a persistent finish.
An array of aromas, from the typical dark berries of the variety through sweet herbs, mint and orange zest, introduce a palate which opens soft and smooth, with broad, super-ripe tannins perfectly integrated with the fleshy fruit. A very traditional Riserva style from a single vineyard planted in 1937, on possibly the highest site of the denomination.
Cedary and spicy, with very ripe dark fruit at the core. Full-bodied and intense, edging toward jammy on the palate, with oak spices shaping the finish. Structured and slightly heavy, but keeps the balance overall. From organically grown grapes.
