A rich, complex, and elegant expression of Alentejo's soul
Aged 12 months in American (80%) and French (20%) oak barrels, followed by 6 months in bottle before release
We don't carry a lot of wines from Alentejo as many of the great ones we had enjoyed while visiting the region are in short supply outside of Portugal. This blend is a pretty authentic reflection of region's terroir. Look for ripe dark fruit, sweet spices, and an earthy touch. It's full-bodied and powerful, yet remarkably smooth, with a velvety texture. Fine, well-integrated tannins balance the concentrated fruit, culminating in a long, persistent, and elegant finish.
This vast estate, whose boundaries have remained unchanged for 750 years, has produced a rich, yet elegant expression in keeping with its reputed style. Full of black fruits and concentrated, still-young tannins; wood aging adds polish. Drink from 2026.
Dark ruby garnet colour. Ripe red and black berries, savoury nuances, some liquorice and vanilla. Medium breadth on the palate, ripe, noticeable acidity, fine tannins. Finishes long and juicy.
