A robust Douro Valley blend featuring dark ripe fruits, licorice, cocoa, and well-integrated tannins.
Aged in 12 months in French oak barrels (35% new)
Like many of the blends from the Douro Valley, this is a powerhouse of flavors and aromas. Dark ripe red and blue fruits, licorice, tapenade, cocoa, nuts, baking spices and a fair bit of tannins all so well integrated. Delicious!
The reserve wine from this major estate is certainly a bottle for aging. It's a blend of Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca that shows a lot of structure. Tannins and black fruits abound, showing density and richness. Cellar Selection
Charming, featuring a nice balance of raspberry, olive and licorice notes that are fresh and inviting, with plush tannins and tangy acidity lending integrated structure through the spice, mineral and wild herb aromas on the finish. Not a powerhouse wine but offers lots of finesse.
