The 2020 Graacher Himmelreich Auslese (Gold Capsule) is finely concentrated and deep on the clear and crisp, even refreshing and discreetly phenolic nose that adds a spicy and coolish, even slightly greenish nuance. Lush and round on the palate and running down the throat immediately, this is a savory, dense and very elegant Auslese, with a salty, grippy and salivating, long, concentrated and irresistible finish. 7% stated alcohol. Natural cork.

Seaspray and brine lend savoury nuances to penetrating flavours of sun-drenched white peach and honeydew. Augmented with small proportions of botrytised grapes, it's a steely, breathtakingly elegant wine marked with spice and whispers of tea tannins on the finish. Light as a feather yet powerful and pure, it's just starting to shine and will reward cellaring for decades.
