Aged in wood approximately 2 years, partly in barriques and partly in 25hl oak barrels, followed by another year of aging in bottle - 38 months total
A bit young to drink now as you would expect with a Barolo, but showing excellent after some time in a decanter. Floral, red fruit, and earthy aromas lend to flavors of ripe red fruit flavors with savory undertones and great tannin. A prototypical Barolo brilliantly delivered. This will be increasingly even better over the next decade.
This wine expresses itself with aromas of wild cherries, tart red plums, dried violets and oolong tea leaves. The palate is elegant and almost dances across the mouth, leading with ripe red fruits that give way to savory flavors of fresh bay leaf, clove and balsam. Drink 2025–2040.
Precise and with good sensorial form, it shows notes of red plums, mandarin juice, vetiver, broken stem, bergamot and cola. Full body, incredibly solid and centered on the palate shows complexity, character, muscle and progression. A truly great new gamble definitely won by Ratti. Better from 2026.
