A complex Zinfandel showcasing luscious ripe dark fruit flavors.
100% organically grown grapes on the estate
This is a unique Zin, with lots going on, but in the end, it's all about that luscious ripe dark fruit. Enjoy!
Jerry Seps’s widest selection from his hillside estate northwest of Calistoga, Mayacamas Range is meant to be enjoyed in its youth. The wine has grace and energy, delivering dark-cherry roundness directly into the tannins and their bone-broth savor. Those tannins combine blueberry-skin freshness and a hint of bitter almond in a lasting, supple impression. Heady and beautiful.
The latest of Storybook Mountain's Mayacamas Range bottling is very much in the winery style and directed to fans of higher acidity, berryish Zinfandel. It is a refined, but still-nascent offering at this point, and its use today would call for service with foods like lighter meats with savory seasonings. But, as is the case with virtually all of the Zins from Storybook, it is certain to age extremely well.
