An excellent wine from Vietti, packing a serious punch while retaining good freshness, making it enjoyable even at a young age.
Aged 12 months in a combination of stainless steel and oak containers
Barbera is the most produced grape varietal in the Piedmonte region, probably best known for the sweeter sparkling wines made in the same manner as Prosecco, called Barbera d'Asti. The still version that this wine represents is a mostly inexpensive easy drinker that can be paired with just about anything that pairs with any other red wine. This Vietti is a great representation of just that. A solid, easy drinker that just won't disappoint in just about any setting.
The 2022 Barbera d'Alba Trevie is a heady, explosive wine. Succulent dark red cherry, plum, mocha, pomegranate, mocha and new leather are amplified to the maximum. This fleshy, opulent Barbera packs a serious punch yet also retains a good deal of freshness. It’s a superb wine from Vietti.
