A stunning 2nd label of Château Mouton Rothschild, offering a beautiful blend of floral notes, rich dark fruits, tobacco, cocoa, and well-integrated tannins.
Once harvested, fermentation is in 225-hectolitre vats of wood, with a maceration of 15 to 25 days, followed by 22 months of aging in oak
This is a 2nd label of Château Mouton Rothschild, but it would be the best wine in many portfolios. This is just beautiful. Each sip delivers waves of awesome from the floral nose to the rich, ripe dark fruits, tobacco, cocoa, and well-integrated tannins. Phenomenal!
Extremely perfumed with dried flowers and dark berries such as plums and cherries. Sandalwood, too. Full body, integrated tannins and chocolate, walnut and cedar character. Goes on for minutes. Superb second wine of Mouton.
The winner of the second wines in 2015 is unquestionably the 2015 Le Petit Mouton De Mouton Rothschild, which is a Cabernet Sauvignon dominated blend that includes 17% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. Ripe, full-bodied, opulent and incredibly satisfying, with loads of crème de cassis, graphite, lead pencil and hints of tobacco, it has more depth and texture than most estate’s top wine.
