This is a pretty big Cabernet by any measure. For best results, decant for an hour. When it does open you're going to get a lot of flavors and aromas that really work well together. Dark ripe fruits, leather, spice, and every present chewy tannins. Gnaw on this with your favorite steak!

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Guest Cottage is a blend of 98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple in color, it is a little closed and broody to start, opening out to notes of tar, new leather and damp soil over a core of warm blackcurrants, fresh blackberries and boysenberries. Full-bodied, densely packed and muscular, it has a solid foundation of grainy tannins and a long, mineral-tinged finish.

A red with blackberry, meat and spice, as well as toasted oak. It’s full-bodied and chewy with polished tannins and a plush texture. Long and flavorful. It’s a little old-school, but is framed by the tannins. Try after 2023.
