Hand harvested grapes from select parcels of several vineyards with vines aged from 70 to over 100 years. Prolonged maceration and slow alcoholic fermentation, with malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels. Aged 19 months in new French oak and 2 more years in bottle

Notes from critics

This is a big wine made bigger with nearly 2 years in toasted French oak barrels. The dark fruit is tempered by flavors and aromas imparted by the oak, and the tannins are pronounced. There's a lot going on with this wine from nose to long finish. It's definitely not for the faint of heart.

This vinous jewel is a show of restraint and discreet elegance. It’s wonderfully grained, so deep and young with layers of spice, herbs, dark fruit, olive and other savoury notes. The palate is crisp with soft, abundant tannins and an extremely long, oaky finish. A step beyond the norm.

A pretty nose of dark plum, mulberry, olive, mocha and cigar box. Full-bodied with firm tannins. Structured, focused and layered with a long finish. Tempranillo. Vegan. Drink from 2022.
