A delicious and well-priced Petite Sirah from the Sierra Foothills, featuring ripe dark fruits, cocoa, and a hint of licorice with a great mouthfeel.
Aged 22 Months in 2nd fill French Oak
This is one of the few wines we carry from the Sierra Foothills. We love Petite Sirahs from California, and feel this is a great representation of both the grape and the region. We love the ripe dark fruits and cocoa notes here. There's an underlying hint of licorice that adds just a bit to the experience. Great mouthfeel and scrumptious through the finish. Oh and it's a pretty solid value too!
A bit shy on the nose, this full-bodied red opens up on the palate with notes of blackberry, blueberry, boysenberry, red and black plum, chocolate, vanilla and licorice. Elevated (16.2%) alcohol is balanced by the ripeness and voluptuousness of the fruits and the firm tannic texture.
