Málaga, in Spain, is famous for its sweet dessert wines made from Moscatel grapes. Hand-picked at peak ripeness, the grapes undergo pasificación, losing 75% of their water content, resulting in a concentrated sweetness. This offering is a true masterpiece meant to be savored and enjoyed. As a solo sipping experience, it offers a journey of discovery, with each sip revealing new depths of flavor. It also pairs beautifully with desserts such as crème brûlée, fruit tarts, and chocolate truffles, enhancing their sweetness and richness.
A consistently outstanding sweet muscat showing complex and concentrated flavors of honeysuckle, dried peaches, preserved pineapple, honeydew melon, lychees and orange blossoms. Viscous and bright, with a full body and a slightly waxy texture, but the bright acidity makes sure that you can drink more than one glass. Long and intense.
Similarly hued, the 2023 Victoria #2 is 100% Moscatel made in tank, yet it's harvested slightly later and is a touch richer and riper in style. Exotic flowers, candied mint, sweet lychee, and even some peach notes emerge from the glass, and it's full-bodied on the palate, with a decadent, syrupy mouthfeel that's cut beautifully by bright acidity.
