Occasional Wine Notes: We have tasted a few Bordeaux Blancs, and really like the way the Semillon tames the acidity of the Sauvignon Blanc to deliver a richer and fuller, but very approachable white wine. This offering from South Africa stands up against the best of what we've had from Bordeaux. The apples, citrus, and melon give this a rich mouthfeel and flavor while softening the acidity that hangs around through a very nice finish. We dig this wine!

Delicately toasty notes of freshly dried straw and apple slices alongside tones of white melon and lime zest. The palate reflects a similar fruit profile to what the nose offers, though it’s all framed by ample acidity and a lightly pithy texture. It’s clean and lightly spicy through the close, showing touches of yellow flower and beeswax along with the yellow-fruit core. Editors' Choice
