Occasional Wine Note: This is a great value Chenin Blanc the Savennières region of France's Loire Valley. Rich with loads of ripe stone fruit, citrus, pear, baking spice, and minerality with a fabulous floral bouquet, a great mouthfeel, and a finish that just begs for another sip.

It’s hard to find adequate words for the cornucopia of flowers, citrus and stone fruit aromas of this wine. The flinty element creates the most beautiful tension along with the wonderful interplay of fruit and wet stone minerality on the breathtakingly precise and pure medium- to full-bodied palate. And the incredibly energetic, almost endless finish sweeps you away. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

Crafted from vines planted on the Château de Chamboureau’s parcel, the 2020 Chamboureau offers up a slightly sulfur-inflected, shy bouquet with aromas of herbs, pear and spices. Medium to full-bodied, incisive and satiny, it’s a mineral wine with a delicate flinty character and a saline, tense finish.
