Occasional Wine Note: What a beauty! This "Baby Harlan" is actually the product of grapes from younger vines at Harlan, BOND, and Promontory vineyards. Better ingredients make better wine and this gem is proof. We've been drinking this at my local wine shop for a couple of years, and we just think this 2019 is the most opulent and delicious. Beautiful ripe dark fruits, cocoa, a touch of spice, and just a luxurious mouthfeel all the way through a long luscious finish. Liquid velvet!

Bright crimson with some evolution at the rim. Actually there is quite a bit of interest on the nose here. This has lift as well as Napa lusciousness and good structure, balance and length. Throbs with life on the long finish. Quite impressive! And broachable.
